Just had a great concert! Pro Arte sang Bach's Missa Brevis in A major (very brevis, actually, text-wise: no credo, sanctus, or agnus; but not so brevis movement-wise) and Schütz's Deutsches Magnificat. I had a little solo in the Bach, and it went quite well. My voice cracked almost right away, but after that I was fine, and the high notes felt glorious. My first IU conductor, Carmen Tellez, came up to me afterward and said in her Venezuelan accent, "Definitely a singer now, eh?" I don't know about that, but it was definitely working today.
