It's beautiful outside!

Beautiful to look at, anyway. Everything's pretty and white, so I didn't mind so much that my bike was slipping all over on my inexplicably unplowed road. Actually, it reminded me of mountain biking with Nate in the LA area a few years ago: on steep hills I often stand up to get more power, but that reduces the weight on the back tire and you slip and slide and go nowhere... But honestly, I'm happy to have a "real" winter for once in southern Indiana, cold, snow, and all.

Things are going well for me right now: a week and a half ago I gave my first ever conference presentation, in Florida, and it went well; classes are generally going well, though I'm too busy (I don't think I can keep the second job next year), almost every day Barack Obama does something that impresses me, plus I'm getting married (eventually). Let's hope this continues!
